First time back in a while. Always good and consistent. Had the ham sand which and split pea soup. My wife had the chef salad which was very good. Our server was excellent.

This restaurant is in some sort of "mall" but it is a nice pace to have lunch or breakfast. I had the biscuits and gravy and I was not disappointed.

I love this place! Been there about 2 times been meaning to go back but no time. Their home style hash are so good and flavorful it's cooked perfect not undercooked nor over cooked its browned just right.. I actually liked this place better than grumpys which is down the street.. Their eggs and toast was perfect too! Just enough butter... Their country fried steak not too greasy! Soft and crunchy! When I get the time I will definitely try the stuffed French toast! Everyone has got to try this place!

Had breakfast here one morning that was fine. Place seems to be popular with the locals and has a bright sunny room overlooking that majestic live Oak tree in the parking lot. Service was friendly and professional, ( ask for Karen ) prices were inexpensive to moderate. I had eggs benedict that was quite good and they have a variety of pancakes too. They serve dinner now one evening a month with what appears to be a very nice menu. Enjoy!

I ordered take out from Pengree's so I can't comment on the staff or the atmosphere - as someone else picked up my food - but I can comment on the most important part - the food! I ordered a Turkey Rueben and it was delicious! Unfortunately the fries it came with were cold - but that might be because it was take out. Overall, a great place to grab a bite to eat for lunch.

I've had breakfast here several times & the food & service has ranged from good to outstanding. I can recommend the western omelette, English muffin, grits & a side of rope sausage. The open dining room can get a little boisterous even if most of the customers are senior citizens. Competes with Grumpy's just over the tracks but doesn't have a counter. I've never had to wait for a table but have seen people waiting patiently on my way out.

I've been here three times and haven't ever been impressed. The food is so-so, but what really prompted me to write a review was the coffee. It is so bad. So bad. It tasted like old watery coffee that had been reheated. (Or maybe they used the same filter and old grounds to make "new" pots...?) And if you are below the age of 70, you're going to feel out of place.

My family claims they had good meals, but my eggs were undercooked (nearly raw) and the atmosphere was nauseating. We agreed that the dining room smelt like a moldy restroom, and combined with the harsh lighting and median customer age of 70 years, it's not exactly a hip place. Our server, however, was really nice.
